1916 reply-half postcard from an Austrian prisoner of war in a camp in Russia. There are Austrian and Russian Red Cross cachets, a Russian censor mark and a blue pencil mark from a postmaster to all it to go freepost!

A scarce cover of the period.

1945 censored cover with stamps cancelled by a KOBENHAVN OMK machine postmark dated 24.AUG.1945 and opened and resealed by Danish censor tape. There is also a partial boxed C.P.H.Q. 2/T.A.F. / TRACING SECTION cachet and a partial FIELD POST OFFICE 306 postmark dated 3.SP.45 on the reverse.

No value imprint military postal card stated to be of the Japanese Occupation of North China, c1941; all in native scripts, including the message on the reverse, with Censor handstamps. Some very light creasing, otherwise in good condition for this, and very scarce.

Small envelope headed American Red Cross Service Club, with MS endorsement APO 519 c/o Postmaster, New York City, datestamped Salisbury 20 November 1942, censored with sealing strip marked Examiner 861: with contents, being a neat typed letter, and 3 photographs of Dick Gardner in uniform. In fine clean condition save for a small tear to the flap on reverse. A scarce World War Two Red Cross memento, which has survived intact and almost pristine.
